Bengaluru startups for the save

With the best ecosystem for entrepreneurs and startups, the silicon city of India has been home to a plethora of startups. The availability of good infrastructure, networking, Technology, and investors has made the city a haven for startups. Students of Bengaluru in conversation with Nimma Bengaluru speak about how the Bengaluru-based startups have eased their city life.

Yulu bikes have been the talk of the town when it comes to cost-effective travel in Bengaluru city. Starting in 2017, this Bengaluru-based startup provides rental services for e-bikes within the city limits.

Aditi Agarwalla, a regular user of Yulu says, “It is perfect for students who are living far from home and are under a financial crunch. Bengaluru has a lot of places to visit and you need to have a means of transport or else you're gonna end up spending a lot on taxis and auto fares.”

“Once I had to go to my friend's place as it was an emergency late at night. Auto fares were double and Yulu came in as a savior,” adds Aditi speaking about how she benefited from the startup when in need.

Manoj Reddy A.L, an Engineering student shares his experience of how the cost-effective services of Dunzo delivery have been, “Dunzo delivery has saved both my money and time. I need not go out and wait to get any necessary things that I need, especially when I’m occupied with my work. And their package delivery service has saved me a lot of money for me and my friends. We can send and receive books among us without meeting each other and the service charge is also very cheap.”

Swiggy

“I'm an ardent user of the Swiggy app. It was very useful post-pandemic, especially for people like me who are scared to step out,” says Priyanka speaking about the Bengaluru-based online delivery platform.

She further adds, “Like every other delivery platform, they also started the contactless delivery and one good thing is, I can sit here at home and order from restaurants from far off places and enjoy it from my place of stay, without the fear of contracting the virus.”
