For the students who shift to a new city for their higher education, accommodation is one of the most important things. A safe place to stay is a necessity. Hence, we talked to students who shifted to Bangalore and found accommodation.
Litty Chacko, a student who studies at Christ University said, “I did my graduation in Delhi where I stayed with my parents. Shifting to Bangalore for my Masters's was a big step as I had to live away from my parents. I started looking out for PGs near my college along with my friends. We found a PG, but it was pretty far from our college. So, we decided not to take up that PG. Then we found another PG that was close to our college. We finalized that PG and moved in. Another reason why we chose that PG was because it offered North-Indian food.“

T Chandra Reddy, who runs a PG in SG Palya said, “It has been a very unpredictable few months for us. We had students coming in during December-January last year, but as the second wave struck the country, many left the rooms and went back to their hometowns. Now, everyone is coming back and now all the rooms are full. Some students did leave for their hometowns but did not checkout from their rooms. They gave the monthly rent because they knew that they will have to come back.”
